Rebranding…. Ish

Hey substack,

Long time no talk. This is going to be a bit of a different post for me but one I’ve been thinking on for a bit. A while ago I made a post on my notes about wanting to expand my substack to be a little more about some of my other hobbies. While board gaming is a huge part of my interests it’s far from my only interest.

The post was pretty well received with a lot of people encouraging me to just write what I wanted to write. However, something in me held onto the idea that the content I wanted to write really didn’t fit with what I was trying to do. So I’ve done what any logical and sane person would—

Renamed my substack.

Looking at things from a wider scope I wanted something that felt less niche and focused. I wanted something that spoke to all my interests but left the door open for something vague because I am, if nothing, a man of many interests.

So, what is pixelshift?

Really it’s just more of the same with a brand new coat of paint. When I was boardbanter I spent a lot of time trying to focus on creating stories out of the games I played. I did want to widen that scope so it wasn’t just board games. Now I plan to really just write about whatever I’m consuming for the week. It could be book, video games, occasionally movies and music whatever I think is worth sharing.

I have a couple things lined up in my queue that I think are going to be fun projects to write about and I hope that you’ll enjoy reading about them too.

my goal is to get back to posting at least twice a week. Maybe more if inspiration strikes.
